Design
I pride myself in continually learning and perfecting my craft. In third grade, I was gifted my first set of legos and fell in love with designing and building. I quickly upgraded to glue, tape, and cardboard to break free of the boundaries from my limited lego set. By highschool, I learned woodworking and welding, building custom furniture for myself and even delivering shelving for a local company.
I still gush at cool designs online and regularly watch videos of other creatives building their craft.
There is something empowering about being able to have a vision, sketching it out, transferring the design to Solidworks or NX, running simulations and tests, and then manufacturing it. Having the ability to turn my ideas into tangible realities really excites me!
Similarly, I enjoy learning and what better way to consume knowledge than large scale scraping and data analytics, maybe combined with a flavor of machine learning as well. I decided to also learn data science and software engineering to empower my growth, and augment my ability to build.
Lastly, I ENJOY making products. If there's one way I can give back to my communities while having fun doing so, it is by inventing new products. I enjoy understanding pain points that my customers face, proposing solutions, and building roadmaps and teams to tackle those larger problems.
